A Modest Beginning...
Back in late 2003, after installing a new shifter in my 2003 Cobra, I was disappointed with the level of gear noise and vibration that was being transmitted into the car's cabin through the billet shifter. Other Terminator owners were complaining about the same issue. I decided to cut a thin gasket from silicone rubber material, and after installing the gasket was amazed at how much more quiet the shifter was. The vibration disappeared as well. It wasn't really the shifter that was noisy. The shifter was simply acting as a sound/noise conduit, carrying the transmission gear noise into the cabin mainly because of the inconsistent bead of silicone sealer that is normally used to seal the shifter base the the transmission mounting plate. The shifter gasket provided a complete and more perfect seal.

The Growing Years...
After seeing how popular these shifter gaskets were with the 2003-2004 Cobra, I introduced kits for other Mustang manual transmissions, including the TR-3650, T-5, T-45, TKO-500/600, and the TR-3550 TKO. Soon after, I introduced sets for all Camaro/Firebird models (with manual transmissions) from 1983-2002. Then in 2009, I added the 2004-2006 GTO, as well as Viper & Ram SRT-10 applications. In 2013, I added the MT-82 Kit for the 2011-2014 Mustang GT, Boss and V6. Also in 2013, Stang Shifter Gaskets became a registered LLC company.
